About Continue
Continue is an open-source assistant that you install in VS Code or a JetBrains IDE. Its main appeal is freedom: you pick the model, whether that is a hosted one like Claude or GPT, or a local model running on your own machine. Nothing forces you into one vendor.
It covers the usual ground with chat, autocomplete, inline edits and an agent mode. You can add your own context, such as docs, files or internal tools, and set custom rules so the assistant follows your team's way of writing code.
